A Federal Judge Says George Santos Must Reveal Who Posted His Bail

This is my first attempt to do a diary from my phone.

But I thought it was pretty big news and I did not see a story about it yet, namely that things just got real for serial fabulist George Santos as a Federal Judge ruled he must put up or shut up about who posted his bail, after he was jailed.

Judge grants request for George Santos's bond sponsors to be unsealed

A federal judge Tuesday granted media organizations’ requests to unseal the names of the people who cosigned Rep. George Santos’s (R-N.Y.) $500,000 bond in his criminal fraud case.

The order is a blow to Santos, whose attorney Monday asked a judge to keep the names of the bond cosigners sealed. The congressman’s lawyer, Joseph Murray, expressed concern for the sponsors should their identities be revealed, citing a “media frenzy” around the Santos case.

George has until Friday to appeal the order.

I want to invite your speculation below as to who the culprits probably are and what do you think will happen to them once they have been exposed?

I forgot to add that George has a way of bringing both sides of the aisle together, when it comes to scrutinizing his shadiness.

It’s not just the media that wants to know who paid his bail.

The Republican-chaired House Ethics Committee wants to know too.

  • According to new court filings in Santos' case, the House Ethics Committee, which is investigating Santos, has also requested the identities of the individuals who helped him make bond. Shields released Santos on May 10 on $500,000 bond, after Santos was indicted on 13 federal criminal counts, including fraud.
